About ME
Built by Hand, One Piece at a Time
Hi, I’m Ryan.
I’ve always been drawn to making things. Before welding, I worked creatively as a musician, which shaped how I think about structure, form, and process. In 2018, I attended welding school and began working professionally as a welder.
After spending time in more structured roles, I wanted to bring more creativity into the work. I began collecting scrap metal, old tools, and found materials—objects with history—and experimenting in my own shop. That’s when metal became more than a material and turned into a creative medium.
Today, my work blends art, craft, and problem-solving. I create sculptural welded pieces like motorcycles, animals, and lamps, alongside functional builds and custom repairs. Some pieces start with a clear idea, while others are led by a single found object. I aim for clean, intentional work, while allowing texture and subtle imperfections to remain part of the story.
Arc & Allotropy reflects that approach—industrial, retro, and rugged. My goal is to create work that feels intriguing and connected, and to show how a trade often viewed as purely blue-collar can also be expressive, personal, and artistic.
