Baseball Player (Big) – Metal Baseball Player Sculpture
This welded metal baseball player sculpture is made from reclaimed steel and old industrial parts, giving it a raw, rugged look with plenty of character.
I built the figure using a ball bearing for the head, a metal file for the body, and square-head nails for the arms and legs. Each part still carries its own marks, texture, and wear, which is what makes this kind of metalwork interesting. Instead of hiding those imperfections, I like letting them show.
The finished piece has the stance of a baseball player at bat, with a simple shape and a solid industrial feel. It’s the kind of piece that fits well on a desk, shelf, workbench, office display, sports room, or man cave without looking too polished or overdone.
The raw steel is sealed with a clear coat to help protect the finish while keeping the natural color and texture of the metal visible. Handmade in Grain Valley, Missouri, near Kansas City, this is a one-of-a-kind piece built from real steel parts — no two will ever be exactly the same.
