Baseball Player (Small) – Metal Baseball Player Sculpture
This welded metal baseball player sculpture is built from reclaimed steel and old shop materials. It has a clean baseball stance, a solid steel base, and a raw industrial look that keeps it from feeling too polished.
I made the figure with a ball bearing for the head, a metal file for the body, and square-head nails for the arms and legs. Each part still shows its own marks, texture, and wear, which gives the sculpture some grit and character. I like using pieces like this because they already have a history before they ever become part of the build.
At about 10 inches tall, this piece is easy to display on a desk, shelf, tabletop, office display, workbench, or man cave setup. The steel base gives it a sturdy feel, while the simple shape keeps the focus on the baseball player at bat.
The raw steel is sealed with a clear coat to help protect the finish while keeping the natural color and texture of the metal visible. Handmade near Kansas City, Missouri, this one-of-a-kind piece is a solid gift for a baseball fan, coach, player, or anyone who likes handmade sports metal art.
