Dylan Collage – Music-Inspired Tool Sculpture
This welded metal wall art piece is built from reclaimed tools and old steel parts, arranged into a bold, portrait-style collage. It has a raw, industrial look with a little grit, a little attitude, and plenty of character.
I used a tire iron, hand drill, hammer, and horseshoe to build the design. Each part still shows its own wear, marks, and texture, which is what gives the piece its shop-built feel. I like using old tools because they already have history in them before they ever become art.
This piece was inspired by classic singer-songwriter energy — rough around the edges, creative, and not too polished. It works well as a wall-mounted statement piece in a music room, studio, office, workshop, man cave, gallery wall, or industrial-style space.
The raw steel is sealed with a clear coat to help protect the finish while keeping the natural patina and color of the metal visible. Handmade near Kansas City, Missouri, this one-of-a-kind wall sculpture is built from real tools and made to stand out.
